Cameron Diaz retires to start a family... aged 45
AS one of Hollywood’s most bankable leading ladies, she has conquered the big screen – and amassed a £100million fortune.
And now comedy favourite Cameron Diaz is said to be retiring at the age of 45 to start a family with her musician husband.
Miss Diaz has starred in dozens of box office hits, including There’s Something About Mary, Shrek and Charlie’s Angels.
In 2015, she married Benji Madden, 39, a guitarist and singer in the rock group Good Charlotte.
Actress Selma Blair, who starred in The Sweetest Thing alongside Miss Diaz, said: ‘I had lunch with Cameron the other day... I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron’s retired from acting, she’s like “I’m done”.’
Miss Diaz has been on hiatus since the release of Annie in 2014. Her performance as Miss Hannigan divided reviewers.
In an interview in 2016, the actress said: ‘Nothing matters now that I have my husband... No one compares. Everything else just like washes and slips away.’
