SINGER Amy Macdonald earned more than £800,000 last year as her fortune soared to almost £5million.

During the past year the 30-year-old released her fourth album Under Stars and embarked on a tour of the UK and Europe.

Latest accounts show her company, Amy Macdonald Ltd, which channels earnings from her songwriting royalties, made a profit of £250,000.

Her second company, Amy Macdonald Touring Ltd, made around £265,000, while her third firm All Right On The Night had profits of £289,713.

The accounts filed at Companies House show that after paying off debts, the three companies had a value of £4,942,239.

Amy set up the firms 12 years ago, soon after signing her first record deal and has not been shy in splashing out on luxury items with her royalty cash.

The car fanatic bought a £170,000 Ferrari 458 Speciale and a Ferrari 488 GTB worth £200,000. She was also one of the first people selected to snap up a £250,000 Ford GT supercar.

She has previously told how her mother was worried she would go broke because of her obsession with high-end luxury cars, saying: ‘My mother was very much of the mind, who needs two Ferraris?’
