Puzzled by SNP solidarity
I CAN understand why the SNP is showing solidarity with a Catalan movement similar to its own. But there are things I cannot square in my head.
Firstly, the SNP was elected on an independence referendum platform. It won the election and lost the referendum, both fair and square.
The Catalonian separatist movement has not followed its Scottish counterparts’ methodology.
With no mandate, those involved went against the Spanish constitution, hence arrest warrants.
My puzzle is, firstly, that the SNP is very pro-Remain. Yet it is European arrest warrants, not UK ones, it is objecting to. Secondly, the Scottish Government’s job is to look after Scottish affairs, not worry about international affairs, which – as decided by the Scottish electorate in September 2014 – is an issue reserved for Westminster.

I THOUGHT all Nationalist MPs ‘just happened to think alike’?
It seems something has gone wrong, with some calling Spain ‘fascist’ over EU arrest warrants for Catalan politicians.
Don’t they realise they are putting in danger their leader’s plan to lock us back into the EU’s clutches?

IF you think the SNP is confused over fishing – seemingly wanting a hard Brexit soon to get trawlermen out of European hands, only so it can deliver them back later – wait until you see the Nats on European law.
They think Britain and Germany should ignore arrest warrants for separatist Catalan politicians.
They are European warrants – from the same EU Nicola Sturgeon is so desperate to get us back into.
