THIS French family animation (dubbed into English) is set in early-20th-century Paris. Lucille is the girl with a stupendous singing voice, who befriends a monstrous creature — actually a flea. Beautifull­y animated, and buzzing with character.

VILLA’S third televised game in what has been a mixed week, after they lost to Norwich City last Saturday and then beat Cardiff City on Tuesday. They go into tonight’s game five points outside the automatic promotion spots.

ON-DEMAND SHOW Lost In Space, Season 1

NETFLIX’S new version of the sci-fi tale has a very exciting first three episodes, in which the family come crashing down on an alien world amid a volley of amazing special effects. So, it looks great — and the family at its centre are believable, too, with Toby Stephens as the military dad trying to reconnect with his children in the middle of all this mortal peril. Parker Posey is a highlight as a ruthless fellow survivor.

CRACKING NEW DRAMA Rectify, 8pm, AMC

SEASON one of this U.S. drama is the six-part story of what happens when a convicted murderer is let out of prison after two decades — on what his enemies describe as ‘a technicali­ty’ — and tries to rebuild his life. It’s brilliant from the start, as is its star, Aden Young. (Sky 192, BT TV 332)

FILM CHILLER Alien: Covenant, 8pm, Sky Premiere

PROMETHEUS was criticised by fans for not having enough alien action, and while that has been addressed here, the grandiose themes still take precedence. Michael Fassbender stars.

NAZISM Hitler’s Circle Of Evil, 9pm, History

REINHARD HEYDRICH is regarded by many historians as one of the darkest figures in the Nazi elite; Hitler described him as ‘the man with the iron heart’. This film charts the rise and dramatic fall of the one-time Gestapo leader — one of the main architects of the Holocaust.

DRAMA RETURNS Bosch, Season 4

THE return of Amazon’s stern, stylish and noirish police drama based on the novels by Michael Connelly. Season four draws on Angels Flight as rule-breaking detective Bosch (a cool-eyed Titus Welliver) investigat­es the death of a lawyer known for fighting brutality cases against the LAPD.

STAR PROFILE Nat King Cole: Afraid Of The Dark, 9pm, BBC4

AN AWESOME roster of entertaine­rs pay tribute, including Bruce Forsyth, who reflects on what a great pianist Nat King Cole (pictured) was — a gift overshadow­ed by his singing. We also learn how Cole’s talent, passion and charisma allowed him to transcend racial barriers.

DIRECTOR Tony Richardson and star Laurence Olivier transfer their stage version of John Osborne’s play to the silver screen — with Morecambe the setting for a series of music-hall numbers.
