‘This could all damage our credit rating’

- Daily Mail Reporter

LOUISE Wood has been unable to access her business accounts for three days.

The 26-year-old and her husband Marcus, from Alloa, Clackmannanshire, have all their financial products with the bank.

Mrs Wood, who runs a cake decorating business, said yesterday: ‘It’s been an absolute nightmare. We haven’t had any problems in the past but the way they have dealt with this whole issue is ridiculous.

‘We were informed of [IT] works over the weekend, which was fine, but they are now three days over their deadline. I still can’t access money in my business account.

‘I can’t transfer money between accounts either, the only thing I have been able to do is log on and see our balances. My husband has £1 in his account with no way of adding any more funds in, so if any payments come out he’ll be into an unplanned overdraft which will incur charges.

‘I have business payments coming out of my personal account but no way of adding funds from my business account to cover them so there’s a chance I’ll also incur charges. Plus the damage this could do to our credit rating.

‘No one is answering the phones and branches are closing early. There just seems to be no options available to us.

‘The whole thing has had such a knock-on effect, it’s ridiculous. I just hope the get things sorted soon.’
