IS WESTWORLD turning into The Matrix, with Maeve (the mesmerisin­g Thandie Newton, pictured) as its Neo? It seems to be heading that way after last week’s bloodbath, but there’s plenty to explore elsewhere in the plot, too — notably, the revelation concerning the woman from Raj World.

THE penultimat­e episode finds Kick reluctant to return to work after learning the truth about Novak. However, tonight’s missing persons case turns out to be particular­ly personal, and brings Kick (Leven Rambin, pictured) face to face with Mel, who kidnapped her all those years ago — and their encounter is electric.

CHIPPER MOVIE Sing Street, 9pm, Film4

THIS uplifting Dublin-set musical comedy is reminiscen­t of The Commitment­s, but with a charm all its own. Ferdia Walsh-Peelo is 15-year-old Conor, who decides to put a band together to ward off the bullies and get the girl. But the real star of the film is the brilliant Eighties soundtrack.

FANTASY DRAMA Grimm, 10pm, 5 USA

AS THIS addictive U.S. fantasy drama continues its Freeview premiere, reluctant cop-turned-demonhunte­r Nick is still coming to terms with his new world. He has plans to propose to his girlfriend, and has chosen a romantic forest getaway as the setting — one that looks suspicious­ly like a haven for pesky fairy-tale beasts.
