NatWest bank tests cardless shopping
NATWEST is trialling a new way of shopping online without debit or credit cards.
Customers do not have to type in their long card number. Instead they can press a button leading to the NatWest banking app and log in using a fingerprint or with a password.
NatWest says it removes the need for companies to store sensitive card data. But customers will not benefit from protection under Section 75 schemes for debit or credit card purchases.
