THE former CFO at AP Moller-Maersk is joining Rio Tinto.

Jakob Stausholm will replace Chris Lynch, 64, the finance chief who is retiring from the London-based miner.

Stausholm resigned from AP Moller-Maersk in March after the Danish conglomera­te split his role in two, with IT separated from finance.

The married father of three lives in Denmark but will move to the UK when he starts in September. He will be paid a salary of £775,000 and receive an annual cash bonus.
