SFA compliance officer McGlennan leaves post
THE SFA are on the hunt for a new compliance officer after Tony McGlennan declared his intention to leave the governing body later this year. McGlennan, a lawyer, took over from Vincent Lunny four years ago and has been a central figure in the SFA’s disciplinary process. An SFA spokesperson said: ‘After four seasons in the role, Tony has decided to return to private practice. He will assist with a transition period and will leave the SFA later in the summer.’ The SFA’s compliance officer reviews reported incidents from matches to ascertain if there is a case for retrospective disciplinary action.
