MANY men like to take the mickey out of their friends’ achievements. If your friend is Tom Cruise, however, you might want to think twice about it.

James Corden found himself skydiving 15,000ft out of a plane after teasing the Hollywood star that a similar stunt in his latest film was ‘no big deal’.

The British actor and presenter, 39, protested that a terrifying night-time skydive performed by the actor in Mission: Impossible – Fallout looked easy.

Cruise, 56 – who famously does all his own stunts, including the film’s 25,000ft skydive – then dared Corden to join him above the Californian desert.

In the footage, Corden is seen squealing as he is pushed out of a plane strapped to a skydiving instructor.

A confident Cruise jumped alongside him alone – something that only fully qualified skydivers can do.

He could be seen dancing and twirling around in the sky, as Corden screamed alongside him, cheeks a-wobble.

A video shown on Corden’s American chat show The Late Late Show started with Cruise giving the presenter a skydiving lesson. He laid himself on a board with wheels to show the proper positioning during a freefall.

Another clip showed Cruise chasing Corden around a car park to stop him from escaping the daring stunt.

Earlier, Corden was seen talking about the film’s stunts and joking to Cruise: ‘I thought it was meh. You say jumped, it’s falling through the sky. I think we’re all getting carried away with the “Tom Cruise action hero” thing.’

Cruise replied that there was ‘a little more to it than that’ and it ‘took 106 jumps’ to get the shot – then dared the host to join him.

He said: ‘If you’re interested I’m happy to take you if you want to try it. I mean if it’s so easy, you can come with me. Would you like to do it? I’m in town.’

Mission: Impossible – Fallout is the sixth film in the franchise based on the 1960s television series, with Cruise starring in all of them.

It has been warmly received by critics, with Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt dealing with a hostile takeover attempt by a new CIA boss.
