to see Stanley Johnson on BBC’s Real Marigold Hotel this week learn his hat was unsuitable attire for a Sikh temple in Amritsar, India. Uncomplainingly, he bought an alternative. His son Boris was deliberately offensive about the burka. But should we be any less comfortable than those who kept Mr Johnson Snr right in telling someone a burka is not suitable attire for, say, a teacher in a UK primary school?
