Holey wheels! ls it the new Batbike?

- Mail Foreign Service

IT’S a mean machine guaranteed to turn heads on the streets in the same stunning way as the Batbike.

But this futuristic ride, with ‘empty wheels’ which appear to float on the road, is not designed to help a superhero chase down villains.

It’s the brainchild of ex-F1 driver Tarso Marques, from Brazil, who wanted to create a bike so outlandish that people would not believe it.

The TMC Dumont has 36in hubless wheels – the largest ever made for a motorcycle – and is driven by a vintage Rolls-Royce aircraft engine. Marques, who will not reveal the bike’s cost or top speed, said: ‘It’s a special project that I’ve been dreaming about for at least 15 years.’
