Three in court over murder of child killer
THREE men have appeared in court charged with murdering a convicted child killer.
David Osbourne, 51, Darren Evesham, 47, and Ieuan Hartley, 23, are accused of killing David Gaut in New Tredegar, South Wales.
The 54-year-old was found dead in the town on Saturday.
Gaut was jailed in 1985 after being convicted of murdering his Scots girlfriend’s 17-month-old son, Marky Shek. Marky’s mother, Jane Pickthall, returned to Scotland after her toddler’s death and now lives in Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire.
Osbourne, Evesham and Hartley, all of New Tredegar, appeared at Newport Magistrates Court yesterday.
They were remanded in custody until their next court appearance, scheduled for Monday.
