THE Fringe kids’ programme is every bit as diverse and full of mind-blowing talent from home and abroad as any of the grown-up stuff. Making its debut appearance in Edinburgh is this mix of science-filled fact and family fun. Brainiac was a TV show that ran on Sky One for five years, fronted by Top Gear’s Richard Hammond. Since the TV show’s demise it has acquired a new lease of life on stage (minus Hammond) combining the same combustible elements of blowing things up and letting kids see that science experiments can be fun. Not to mention very, very loud. Given its track record, it could be well worth catching. Underbelly Bristo Square, until Aug 27, except Aug 13
