POLICE chiefs claim the public might be less safe if we leave the EU without a deal, yet people across the country already feel unsafe with officers seemingly unable or unwilling to deal with soaring levels of moped phone snatchings and stabbings.

Though the police and Customs claim drug confiscati­on has increased, it is still quicker to order drugs than a delivery pizza.

I suggest the police focus on preventing and dealing with crime rather than commenting on politics.
