Last picture of balcony fall Scot
TRUDGING wearily into a hotel lobby, three young women head for their room after a night spent partying in Benidorm.
But only a few hours later, one of the three – Kirsty Maxwell – mysteriously plummeted to her death from a balcony.
Previously unseen images show the newlywed, from Livingston, West Lothian, in her final hours at the Apartamentos Payma.
Mrs Maxwell was on a hen weekend when she fell from a tenth floor apartment.
The hotel CCTV footage, which aired in a BBC documentary on Monday, shows the three women arriving back after a night out.
Dressed in matching pink T-shirts, they head to the lift area, where 27-year-old Mrs Maxwell is seen trying to retrieve apartment keys from her friend’s handbag. The BBC programme,
‘I would like answers from them’
Killed Abroad, also featured a video clip shot by a friend in which Mrs Maxwell is seen sleeping in her bed – just hours before the fatal fall.
She went to bed in her ninth floor apartment around 4am on April 29 last year, before waking and leaving the apartment.
Police think she may have become disorientated and entered a room occupied by Joseph Graham, Ricky Gammon, Anthony Holehouse, Callum Northridge and Daniel Bailey.
All five, from the Nottingham area, are being investigated but were allowed to return to the UK. They deny any wrongdoing.
Mrs Maxwell’s mother Denise Curry told the documentary: ‘The only thing we’ve asked for is for them [the men] to tell us what happened in that room. I would like answers from them because Kirsty has no voice.’
Spanish authorities say their investigation into the death remains open.
