WAR EPIC

The Pacific, 9pm, Sky Atlantic ANOTHER chance to see this tenpart drama series following the fortunes of U.S. Marines fighting in the Pacific during World War II. It’s a companion piece to the 2001 series Band Of Brothers and shares that show’s ambition and scale.

9-1-1, 9pm, Sky Witness ANOTHER week, another spectacular disaster, the details of which we won’t spoil — suffice to say that the writers must have a lot of fun dreaming them up. Meanwhile, Athena (Angela Bassett) looks a lot calmer now she’s been confined to a desk, and the bond between Abby (Connie Britton) and Buck (Oliver Stark, pictured) is renewed. Where will that take them?
