THE Chiefs have started the season on fire, winning their first five games. They have picked up one fewer try bonus point than Saracens, but would return to the top of the table if they can continue their 100 per cent record at the Recreation Ground tonight.

Downsizing, 8pm, Sky Premiere

DIRECTOR Alexander Payne (Sideways, The Descendant­s) looks at the minutiae of life in this satirical comedy drama. Matt Damon (pictured with Hong Chau) and Christoph Waltz star as cramped people moving to a brave but very small new world.

The Man In The High Castle, Amazon Prime

AMAZON’S grandly realised drama about a Nazi-dominated U.S. has never caught fire as it should, but remains a very stylish and visually impressive piece of TV. This new, third season has a more sci-fi feel and finds the Nazis with reason to fear the Resistance.

Rock ’n’ Roll: America, 9pm, BBC4

FIRST of a three-part cultural history of rock and roll, the birth of which shook Fifties America to the core. This episode looks at the ‘arrival’ of teenagers, an emerging group ready to adopt a new sound — one that had its origins in New Orleans and the music of Fats Domino and others.

Six, 9pm, History

IT LOOKS like most of season two’s budget was saved for this last-ever episode, which features helicopter­s, A-10 Thunderbol­ts and a big gunfight. It picks up where we left off last week, with the Seals under heavy fire — eventually, they’re joined by CIA officer Gina Cline (Olivia Munn).

The Art Of Drumming, 9pm, Sky Arts

STEVE WHITE introduces the final part, which is filled with top drummers picking their favourite players — it’s full of head-nodding clips, as well as being a real education. ‘He was the king of beautiful ghost notes on the snare drum,’ raves Craig Blundell of Toto’s Jeff Porcaro.

A Discovery Of Witches, 9pm, Sky One

MATTHEW the vampire takes Diana the witch home to meet his mum (Lindsay Duncan), while the news of who she is — and what she can do — spreads far and wide. Before the end, there’s another of those spine-tingling moments in which the scope of Diana’s power is briefly revealed.

The Green Mile, 9pm, Film4

FRANK DARABONT’S follow-up to The Shawshank Redemption is both moving and disturbing. Tom Hanks stars as a prison guard, with Michael Clarke Duncan as an

unusual prisoner.

My Favourite Sketch, 10pm, Gold

PAUL WHITEHOUSE is the first guest on Sally Phillips’s (pictured) new show, and his choices include Laurel and Hardy, Monty Python and Steve Coogan. The chat between the two of them is funny and enlighteni­ng, and in the end, they recreate Whitehouse’s favourite sketch to amusing effect.
