HE WORKS ALL DAY THEN COOKS DINNER

-

cHEREE GOlEby, 34, a stay-athome mum, and husband Phil, 32, a managing director, have been married for three years. they have a 15-month-old son, Isaac, and Phil has a daughter, lily, eight, from a previous relationship. they live in Killamarsh, near Sheffield. CHEREE: Daytime childcare, food shop, laundry, cleaning AVERAGE A DAY: 8 hours PHIL: Makes dinner, ironing, washing up, baby’s bath and bedtime AVERAGE A DAY: 5 hours CHEREE SAYS: I would say Phil does quite a lot given how hard he works, and the fact I’m at home. He wakes up very early, and brings Isaac to me before leaving. He irons all his shirts — it’s a job I hate! I do everything for Isaac, which is a full-time job in itself. I do have a cleaner once a week, but I’ll shop, do the washing and keep the house tidy.

When Phil comes home, he’ll do bath and bedtime before making dinner for us.

We are a good team and take it in turns to change Isaac’s nappy and get up at night. Friends think I’m lucky as I seem to have the hardest-working partner ever. PHIL SAYS: Although I work long hours, Cheree works just as long looking after Isaac, which is why I help as much as I can.

I’ve always loved cooking — after work it’s a good way to calm down. I think I’m so handson because my dad worked away a lot. My mum also worked, but did everything in the house, too. I don’t want that in our home.
