Self-centred MPs

-

THE results of the Survation poll for the Daily Mail illustrate just how shockingly out of touch and selfcentred are our MPs.

Labour has stated it will instruct its MPs to vote down Mrs May’s deal,

as have 90 or so Tory MPs. But have any of them thought to ask their constituents’ opinion?

They seem to have forgotten that their job is to represent the views of the people, not their own.

PHiLiP BASSEtt, Bracknell, Berks.

NOW that an opinion poll has decided that the humiliating Brexit offer is best for this once proud country, can we be told what is bad for the EU in this deal?

We are committed to paying them billions of pounds, which was their prime concern as these hangerson can’t afford to replace our contributions, and they confidently expect to be given a good deal on fishing rights, which should have been one of our bargaining tools.

A. NEWMAN, Swindon, Wilts.

THE views expressed in the opinion poll is pointless, because Parliament will never approve the deal. ANDrEW CHArLtON, London SW19.

WHO took part in the Survation survey: Snowflake central — or did the pollsters camp out at schools and universities?

The poll asked the ridiculous question ‘It’s not ideal, but is it the best on offer?’, with 52 per cent saying yes and 19 per cent saying no.

Putting that question into context, Theresa May has stated we have the choice of this deal or no deal, so what other answer could that question have invited?

ASHLEy SMitH, March, Cambs.
