Should we be enraged by Tusk’s hellish remark?

-

DONALD TUSK’S outburst about a ‘special place in hell’ for Brexiteers misses the point. If he wishes to vent his frustration on the real culprits for the lack of a deal, he should pick on Remainer MPs, Lords and the Establishment, who have done all they can to frustrate the democratic process, not Brexit messengers.

RICHARD DEWICK, Southminster, Essex. HELL has no fury like Donald Tusk scorned. RONALD MALONE, Warwick. PERHAPS we have misinterpreted Mr Tusk. Near his home town of Gdansk in Poland is the seaside resort of Hel, which has beautiful beaches. Instead of insulting them, he may have been wishing Brexiteers a happy holiday!

W. MARCH, Birmingham. WHY the howls of rage over Tusk’s hellish comment? Every time one of the EU gravy train idiots opens his mouth and puts his foot in it, I say: I told you so! Let’s just get out of it so we can watch while the EU burns in hell.

JEFF DAVISON, Swanmore, Hants. IN 2016, we voted to relinquish our ‘special place in hell’.

DICK BOOKER, St Albans, Herts. DONALD TUSK sounds like a man wearied by the ongoing discussions about the UK exit agreement after he has done his best to broker a deal. As we are nearing the cut-off date to leave, we are all going to find out what hell will be like if no agreement can be found.

BILL MONEYPENNY, Widnes, Cheshire. THIS hellish remark has done more to enhance the case for leaving the EU than any of our inept negotiators have managed to do in 2½ years.

DENNIS FISHER, Leeds. A SPECIAL place in hell for Brexiteers? Yes, we call it Brussels.

ALAN RITCHIE, Belfast. WHEN the UK finally gets the hell out of the EU, we will be in sheer heaven.

DOUG MATTHEWS, Nottingham.
