Investors target Metro

-

ANgRY investors in Metro Bank have approached lawyers after an accounting gaffe wiped almost £1bn off its market value.

Metro has been targeted by litigation funder Therium, which bankrolls major lawsuits by disgruntled investors in return for a cut of any winnings. Now stewarts Law and a second unnamed London law firm have been approached by Metro shareholders to represent them.

stewarts brought a shareholder claim against Royal Bank of scotland over its decision to raise £12bn from investors before it collapsed in 2008.
