20lb weight loss, so-smooth skin, teeth like pearls... has he had just a little help?
Wearing a tight jumper and dazzling white smile, Simon Cowell makes it almost impossible to ignore his new look.
The 59-year-old music mogul showed off his trim physique on the red carpet on Tuesday – having shed 20lb.
His impressive weight loss comes after the TV judge adopted a vegan diet, and cut out wheat and sugar, following a health scare in 2017.
The transformation could also have something to do with his rather ambitious fitness regime, with the X Factor judge once claiming to do 500 push-ups a day.
appearing at the launch of america’s got Talent in Hollywood, Cowell looked toned in a close-fitting grey jumper, his skin bronzed and smooth.
Last year, viewers of Britain’s got Talent noted the judge had a slightly puffy face when he appeared on the show, raising suspicions he had undergone cosmetic surgery.
Cowell then revealed he had a nonsurgical procedure on his face, which he admitted ‘hurt like hell’. He was reported to have had a £2,000 ‘sewing bioplastic-infused thread’ facelift – which involves sewing a thread into the skin and tugging it taut.
Cowell, who has confessed to having facials made of sheep placenta, said at the time: ‘There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox.’
Cowell also admitted in 2015 that he may have overdone the Botox earlier in his career.
although Cowell has never admitted having face fillers, his suspiciously plump cheeks do suggest some kind of intervention, according plastic surgeon Marc Pacifico. The consultant at Purity Bridge Clinic in Tunbridge Wells, said: ‘normally there is a flattening of the cheeks with age, especially after weight loss, but Cowell’s cheeks look good.’
aesthetic doctor David Jack, who has a Harley Street clinic, added: ‘i think it’s likely he’s had skin peels or laser treatments to resurface the texture of his skin that looks incredibly good for his age.’ as well as a smooth visage, Cowell showed off his line-free neck, with Mr Pacifico saying the ‘mainstay’ of neck tightening is surgery.
Meanwhile Cowell’s kilowatt smile appears to grow bigger and brighter every year, and some cruel observers have likened it to that of Bingo from the Banana Splits. Cosmetic dentist Dr rhona eskander, of Chelsea Dental Clinic, believes Cowell has had several sets of veneers, saying his teeth have ‘become more dominant and whiter’. She explained his embrasures – the gaps at the base of the teeth – are very small, adding: ‘nobody is born with small embrasures’.
Cowell, who has a five-year-old son, eric, with Lauren Silverman, changed his lifestyle after fainting because of low blood pressure and falling down the stairs at his home in 2017.
He vowed to start ‘taking good care of himself’ for the sake of his family.
