FRIENDS who were teenagers together back in the Sixties have been reunited. ‘I did a lot of socialising with sisters Jane and Teresa Heilbron when we were growing up in Stanmore, North London,’ says Patricia Wrentham. ‘We went to the cinema most weeks in a little gaggle of girls, enjoyed coffee in cafes, listened to records — our favourite group was The Supremes — and practised our dance moves.’ Pat recently discovered a cache of old photos in the loft of her house near Uckfield, East Sussex, including one of the Heilbron sisters at a gathering in the home of a mutual friend. ‘It would be great fun to reconnect with Jane and Teresa, whom I haven’t seen or heard about since the late Seventies,’ says Pat. ‘I’d love to know how their lives have turned out.’ To Pat’s delight, we found Jane Tutty, who is living with her second husband, Jeffrey, in Bedfordshire. Through Jane, Pat has also got back in touch with Teresa, who moved to Spain a few years ago. ‘She is happily single and, by the sound of it, still enjoying a busy social life,’ says Pat.
