KLOPP: CITY ARE THE BEST, BUT WHY WORRY?

- By ADRIAN KAJUMBA

JURGEN KLOPP hailed Manchester City as the best team in the world, but the Anfield boss insisted he is not losing any sleep about the demolition of Watford. City bounced back from last week’s shock loss at Norwich with an emphatic 8-0 victory at the Etihad on Saturday. After Liverpool responded with victory at Chelsea, their 15th successive win in the Premier League to restore their fivepoint lead at the top, Klopp said: ‘For Watford it was a tough day. If it can happen against any team in the world it will be City. We had a similar situation when we lost there, I think 5-0... but last night I slept pretty well.’ This season’s title race is set to be a twohorse race again and Klopp said he and his team were aware of the size of their task before the Watford game. ‘I have said it before, I really think they are the best team in the world. ‘I don’t want to put pressure on Pep Guardiola, but they are brilliant in moments. We are not bad as well, so that’s how it is. ‘It’s just about points. I still don’t see that in the end it is only two teams. But at the moment we don’t have to think about it. It’s Matchday Six. We talk about the championship with 32 games to go. That’s a bit early I would say.’ Liverpool had raced into a 2-0 half-time lead after a stunning free-kick from Trent Alexander-Arnold and a Roberto Firmino header. They then held off a stirring Chelsea second-half fightback, in which fit-again N’Golo Kante scored, to secure victory. Manager Frank Lampard felt his young team were the better side, ‘performance-wise, yes’, but Chelsea remain without a victory at Stamford Bridge this season, and he added: ‘No home win yet is definitely a concern. It will come, hopefully it comes soon.’
