Peter’s day at the races with future ex-wife
They announced their split barely a month ago.
But Autumn and Peter Phillips were all smiles yesterday as they enjoyed a day out at the races.
The pair put on a united front as they arrived at Cheltenham Festival side by side for the start of the four-day event, which drew huge crowds in spite of fears over the coronavirus outbreak.
The race course is a short drive from Gatcombe Park, Princess Anne’s Gloucestershire estate, where the couple continue to live with their daughters Savannah, nine and Isla, seven.
The mother-of-two looked chic in black trousers and a green blazer, while Peter, 42, was smart in a blue suit, navy overcoat and tweed cap. They were joined by Princess Anne and seen smiling and celebrating as they cheered on the horses from the stands. Autumn, 41, who did not appear to be wearing her wedding ring, was also seen laughing with her mother-in-law, the Princess Royal.
The royals defied fears that the crowds at Prestbury Park could pose a risk of spreading the coronavirus. A host of celebrities including Carol Vorderman, presenter Nick Knowles, members of the england rugby team and Love Island stars were among those in attendance for the Champion Day.
Last month Peter was told by his Canadian spouse that she wanted to separate after 12 years of marriage.
The son of Princess Anne, who is 15th in line to the throne and considered the Queen’s favourite grandson, married the management consultant in 2008 after the pair met at the Canadian Grand Prix.
