DANIEL RADCLIFFE: THE £94 MILLION LGBT ALLY

RADCLIFFE, who is worth about £94 million after playing the boy wizard in the Harry Potter films, is a luvvie friend of JK Rowling who has turned on her for her views.

He wrote an essay for The Trevor Project, a U.S. suicide prevention charity, which said: ‘Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional healthcare associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I.’

Radcliffe (left, as Harry Potter) did mention that Rowling was ‘unquestionably responsible’ for his privileged life, but went on: ‘To all the people who now feel their experience of the books has been tarnished or diminished, I am deeply sorry for the pain these comments have caused you.’

Radcliffe, 30, who lives in New York with his actress girlfriend of seven years Erin Darke, won an award for being an LGBT advocate in 2015.

He once said: ‘I’m a feminist inasmuch as I’m an egalitarian about everything... I think anyone who isn’t at this point is just swimming against the tide, just like people who are vaguely homophobic or racist or sexist... I just think, “God, you’re still keeping that up? Give it up, you’ve lost.’ ”

He recently slammed American football star Tom Brady for supporting Donald Trump.

In 2016, he appeared to endorse Labour when he said he was ‘likely to back Labour if it was a choice between that and the Conservatives’, despite the anti-Semitism row at the time (his mum is Jewish).
