BRITISH AIRWAYS MOVE
BA HAS switched its short-haul flights from Gatwick to Heathrow until September. Offers include one-way flights to Nice from £46 in August, and to Lanzarote in January, 2021, from £38 (ba.com).
EMIRATES ADDS SCOTLAND
EMIRATES will launch flights from Glasgow to Dubai on July 15. The airline is already operating routes from Heathrow and Manchester. Onward connections from the Middle East hub now include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, the Maldives and Sydney
(emirates.com). FLY FROM YORKSHIRE
TUI will start flights from Doncaster Sheffield on August 1 to popular summer destinations including Spain, Greece, Turkey and Tunisia. Wizz Air is already running services from here to Poland, Romania and the Baltic States. Departing passengers who arrive without a face covering will need to buy a £5 PPE pack at the entrance

LONDON CITY EXPANDS
KLM will resume flights between London City and Amsterdam on July 13. Other airlines now using the airport include British Airways, Swiss and Lufthansa with a choice of 45 destinations. Face masks must be worn and infrared cameras will automatically check each passenger’s temperature (londoncityairport.com).
NORWEGIAN RETURNS
NORWEGIAN is operating flights from Gatwick and Edinburgh to Oslo with services to Copenhagen from both airports due to start next week. There is no on-board catering and mid-row seats will be the last to be occupied (norwegian.com).
TURKISH TREAT
PEGASUS Airlines has started flights to Istanbul from Stansted and Manchester. Book before July 31 and you can upgrade to a Flex ticket for £1, which allows passengers to rebook without a change fee until March 27, 2021 (flypgs.com).
CANADA CALLING
AIR Transat is resuming flights from Gatwick to four Canadian cities starting with Toronto and Montreal on July 24. Bargain fares for travel in September include Calgary from £361 return and Vancouver from £371 return (airtransat.com).
