‘Mega-pint of red wine for breakfast’

-

A VIDEO of ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ Johnny Depp smashing up his Hollywood kitchen and guzzling ‘a mega-pint of red wine’ for breakfast was shown to the court as evidence of his inner ‘monster’.

The actor was seen pacing the room cursing ‘motherf ***** ’ and violently slamming cupboards and breaking glass.

Amber Heard, who secretly recorded the video on her phone, can be heard asking: ‘What happened? We are not even fighting, all I did was say sorry.’

Depp, who appears to be inebriated in the clip, says: ‘Did something happen to you this morning? I don’t think so.’ He then says: ‘You want to see crazy? I’ll give you f ****** crazy,’ before pouring red wine into a pint glass.

Yesterday he was asked by barrister Sasha Wass QC: ‘Would you agree that you were violent in that clip?’ The actor replied: ‘I was violent with some cupboards. Clearly I wasn’t in a good state of mind.’ The barrister went on: ‘You were drunk?’ Depp responded: ‘I may have been. The chances are very good.’

‘We saw you pour...’ said Miss Wass, as Depp finished her sentence: ‘A mega-pint of red wine.’ Miss Wass repeated: ‘A mega-pint of red wine. Which is not everybody’s choice for breakfast.’ Depp said that he was ‘relatively certain’ he had not taken cocaine that day, because he was filming his movie The Lone Ranger at the time and needed to be ‘on the ball’ for his work.

Miss Wass suggested: ‘You were behaving like a monster. I’m going to suggest that your conduct could have been very intimidating to anyone in that room.

‘Miss Heard is a much smaller person than you. You’re considerably bigger than her, aren’t you?’

Depp responded: ‘Miss Heard was not struck in that video.’
