Musk in ‘secret visits to Amber at night’

- By Sam Greenhill Chief Reporter

BILLIOnAIRE tycoon Elon Musk was a ‘regular’ overnight visitor at Amber Heard’s penthouse when Johnny Depp was away, a court heard yesterday.

A concierge at the building said the actress, 34, gave Tesla and SpaceX founder Mr Musk his own keys to access the apartment and garage in 2015 – the year she married Depp.

Alejandro Romero told the High Court in London via videolink from Los Angeles: ‘Miss Heard was visited regularly late at night – at around 11pm to midnight – by Mr Elon Musk.

‘I believe he visited Miss Heard a few times a week and he would always visit when Mr Depp was not at home.’ Depp, 57, has accused his wife of cheating on him with Mr Musk, 49.

Miss Heard, who married Depp in February 2015 and divorced him in May 2016, dated Mr Musk in 2017 before they split up after a year.

The court has been told that Mr Musk had been a visitor one time when Miss Heard had bruises on her face. It has also been claimed one of Depp and Miss Heard’s arguments was after she discovered he was having an affair with a woman named Rochelle Hathaway. The actor is suing for libel over a 2018 article in The Sun that referred to him as a ‘wife beater’. Depp has strenuously denied that he was violent towards Miss Heard.

Meanwhile, the court was told that the actress lost the support of a key figure in the MeToo movement after she ‘misled’ her about domestic violence with Depp. Former Big Breakfast TV host Amanda de Cadenet, 48, had been due to give evidence for Miss Heard, but pulled out after learning of claims she had hurled pots and pans at the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

The women’s rights activist was a friend of Miss Heard, but she gave a declaration as part of uS legal proceedings saying she was ‘appalled and shocked’ after listening to an audio recording of Miss Heard ‘verbally abusing’ Depp.

In the tape, which has not yet been heard in the British case, Miss Heard admitted ‘clocking’ Depp in the jaw and pelting him with pots, pans and vases. Adam Wolanski QC, for The Sun, added that ‘what Miss de Cadenet has said is untrue’.

Another leading MeToo figure, uS actress Katherine Kendall, 50, who helped convict Hollywood sex predator Harvey Weinstein, also told the court yesterday she and the movement had been ‘misused’ by The Sun to support claims Depp was a ‘wife beater’. The case continues.
