this morning, another lucky reader will have received the second of our £10,000 treasure trove prizes.

Next week, it could be you with another £10,000 cash prize up for grabs.

Plus, every correct entry which we receive will be entered into a draw to win an extra £10,000. that’s a total of £50,000 that must be won!

to claim our third treasure trove, all you have to do is use your skill and logic, together with your knowledge of Britain’s glorious heritage, to solve a series of clues or riddles relating to this week’s theme, which is cathedral cities. (And don’t miss our fourth treasure hunt next Saturday, which will feature Britain’s best sporting venues.)

TodAy’S treasure hunt begins with this glorious illustration opposite. it depicts a bustling city square in which is hidden a series of letters that make up an anagram. Unscramble it and you will have solved your first clue — which will be the name of a cathedral city. Write today’s clue in the box provided below.

the treasure hunt will then continue next week as we tour the country with a series of tantalising clues printed each day until Friday. Solve the riddle each day — the solution will be another cathedral city — and write the answer in the box provided in that day’s paper.

Keep your answers and then, after you’ve solved the final clue next Friday, write all six answers in the grid provided in that day’s daily Mail. the letters in gold boxes in Friday’s grid will form an anagram — unscramble it and you will have the treasure hunt’s final answer. this year, all the final answers are iconic

Britons. if you think you’ve worked out the solution on Friday, call the hotline, text or email (details of which will be in Friday’s paper) and leave your answer and personal details. the lucky winner will be drawn at random.

if it’s you, we’ll call you between 9am and 11am on Saturday, August 1.

if you don’t win, the challenge begins again next weekend — and you never know what you might find at the end of the rainbow!
