Greece ends ban

AFTER a four-month ban, Greece will open six ports to cruise ships today: Piraeus, Rhodes, Heraklion, Volos, Corfu and Katakolon. Ships will be permitted to dock as long as no passenger has tested positive for Covid-19. Greek tourism minister Haris Theocharis has emphasised the regulation­s could be reviewed.

More voluntary pauses

MORE cruise lines have announced an extension to their pause in operations. Saga’s Spirit of Discovery will not sail until December 16 while new ship Spirit of Adventure will have its naming ceremony in Portsmouth on November 5. Norwegian Cruise Line’s ships won’t sail until November 1. Marella Explorer is paused until October 2.

£2,800 price drop
