Cameron said he wanted to drag me into a bush and ‘give me one’

Ex-MP’s wife unleashes latest explosive claims in tell-all book

A FORMER minister’s wife claims David Cameron once told her he wanted ‘to grab you and push you into the bushes and give you one!’.

Sasha Swire alleges the then prime minister made the lewd remark while they were on a country walk in 2011.

She describes the encounter with Mr Cameron – who ‘talks a lot about sex’ – in her forthcoming book about her time as the wife of former Foreign Office minister Sir Hugo Swire.

In extracts of the book published in The Times yesterday, Lady Swire recalls a three-day break in Polzeath, Cornwall, with the Camerons in August 2011. She writes: ‘David is pumped up and happy; he loves it down here, pointing out all his teenage snogging haunts to me on a walk.

‘The day we leave, we go for a six-mile walk with a load of coppers swarming behind. At one point… he asks me not to walk ahead of him. “Why?” I ask, and he says: “Because that scent you are wearing is affecting my pheromones. It makes me want to grab you and push you into the bushes and give you one!”

‘This is not flirting by the prime minister. This is probably lewdness. But hell, I’m so starved of masculine interest at my age it made me smile.’

Lady Swire, 57, refers to Mr Cameron and her husband as ‘D’ and ‘H’. She says that ‘D talks a lot about sex, as does H – they are typical of a certain type of Englishman who no longer knows how to flirt because they have become terrified of causing offence. ‘What they do instead is become lewd and chauvinistic with each other, which is the safe zone.’

She added: ‘If a woman actually came on to them, I think their eyes would pop out of their head, blood would rush to their face (in DC’s case) and they

would run for the nearest shelter – probably under their wives’ skirts.’

In another extract, she describes an evening at Chequers, the prime minister’s country house, in 2010 in which Mr Cameron and her husband stay up to watch the movie Atonement. She writes: ‘I go to bed and D stays up with H to admire Keira Knightley’s nipples when she comes out of the fountain.’

Lady Swire, daughter of former defence secretary Sir John nott, details the gossip and political machinations of life in Mr Cameron’s coalition government, which her husband began serving as a minister for northern Ireland. The book, Diary of an MP’s Wife: Inside and Outside Power, is due out on September 24.

She writes that Mr Cameron and then chancellor George Osborne were ‘p***ed off’ to be invited to Prince William’s wedding but not the reception, saying Mr Osborne joked about ‘feeling revengeful, that he might tell Her Maj he is slashing her budget when he next sees her’.

She also said Mr Osborne had been afraid to play croquet at his official residence Dorneywood because a previous occupant, Labour’s John Prescott, had once been photographed doing so instead of running the country.

Lady Swire said Mr Cameron had once shared anecdotes about foreign leaders, including one about Italy’s Silvio Berlusconi who had pointed to a two-way mirror above the bed in his historic residence and said: ‘Well, they didn’t have porn channels in those days, did they?’

Last night a spokesman for Mr Cameron declined to comment.
