Sky doc tribunal will rule in March
THE long-running medical tribunal of former British Cycling and Team Sky medic Dr Richard Freeman is due to hand down a decision in March. Freeman admits ordering banned testosterone to the Manchester Velodrome HQ of both organisations in 2011 but denies he did so knowing it would be used to dope a rider. The often-delayed hearing, at the Medical Practitioners’ Tribunal Service, was due to conclude yesterday but has now been adjourned. It will restart on January 22, where both parties will deliver closing submissions. A ‘facts decision’ over Freeman’s ability to practise is likely to be published on March 2.
