why Sajid Javid reportedly turned down the chance to return to Downing Street as Boris Johnson’s chief of staff? The former chancellor has won a highly lucrative role for U.S tech firm C3.ai. Javid will be an adviser on the board, which also boasts Condoleezza Rice as part of its executive team. The role, which comes hot on the heels of another highly paid position at J. P. Morgan, will see Javid paid a handsome £151,835 for no more than 12 days work per year. That’s more than £1,500 an hour.
