Show respect, Nicola

-

SO the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Scotland on a three-day UK journey to give thanks to the NHS staff and related services.

They arrived by train at Waverley station in edinburgh and were met by a bagpiper before chatting to paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service. I admire this royal couple, who spend much of their everyday lives helping various charities, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

Then we have our First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon who, it would seem, went out of her way to castigate the royal couple for breaching crossborder travel restrictions.

Look, Miss Sturgeon, this couple have done more to help charitable organisations in the past ten years than you will do in a lifetime. If you had any respect you would have been at Waverley to officially welcome them to Scotland.

No, your frosty non-welcome was as cold as the weather.

IS there no limit to the depths to which Nicola Sturgeon will sink?

Instead of welcoming William and Kate to Scotland she has to stir up discontent yet again, saying they are not adhering to her Covid rules and, coincidentally, she has to visit a hospital on the same day.

How many times a week does she commute between her tiers to travel between her home in Glasgow and edinburgh to appear behind her podium? Surely that could be done by video link.

I really don’t know how her supporters can’t see through her.

OH Nicola! Such negativity in regard to the visit by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

You come across like a cat with its claws out – please, somebody buy her a scratching pole for Christmas.
