As TV drama is set to feature Boris’s colourful family life...

WEARING matching red, Boris Johnson and his baby son Wilfred headed out for a Sunday stroll yesterday.

The eight-month-old wore a scarlet coat as he was held tightly by his father sporting a red woolly hat adorned with the Welsh flag.

The infant wore odd socks – one striped, one plain – to mirror his famously dishevelle­d father, who wore a white shirt with a prominent stain under a navy jumper.

The Prime Minister and his son enjoyed a short walk in Buckingham Palace Gardens, close to the family’s home in Downing Street.

However there was unwelcome news at the weekend for Mr Johnson as it was reported that his love child is set to feature in a controvers­ial TV drama.

Called This Sceptred Isle, it will chart his first year in Downing Street when he

dealt with the pandemic, his own battle with Covid-19 and Wilfred’s birth.

But producers are looking for young actors to play Stephanie, his 11-year-old daughter by former mistress Helen MacIntyre. Casting agents want well-spoken white girls with blonde/brown hair to audition for the role by today.

Candidates have been asked to record themselves acting out a scene in which they meet Wilfred and his mother Carrie Symonds, Mr Johnson’s fiancee.

The series is being co-written and directed by Michael Winterbott­om, a passionate Labour supporter.

Miss MacIntyre, an art consultant, sought an injunction to stop reporting of the child’s existence but a judge ruled the public had a right to know.
