GATWICK CHARGES
VEHICLES dropping off passengers at Gatwick’s North Terminal must now pay a minimum £5 charge as part of the airport’s pandemic recovery plan.
The same fee will be introduced at the South Terminal on April 12 in preparation for the anticipated restart of international travel. Payment must be made by midnight the day after the visit. Online payments can be made via the airport’s website (gatwickairport.com).
MORE FLIGHTS TO GREECE
RYANAIR is laying on extra flights to Greece this summer to meet demand. New twice-weekly services from Stansted to Santorini, Zakynthos and Preveza are now available, along with additional flights to Corfu from Southend, Birmingham, East Midlands and Manchester. A seat sale offering fares from £24.99 one-way ends tonight (ryanair.com).
NEW ROUTES TO TURKEY
TURKISH carrier Corendon Airlines is relaunching flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Dalaman, and from Gatwick to Antalya, in early May.
Families can get a 25 per cent discount if they book by March 15. The airline will also operate flights from Gatwick to the Greek islands of Rhodes and Crete (corendonairlines.com).
LOGANAIR LINKS
SCOTTISH airline Loganair will introduce new services connecting Teeside and Bristol, and Liverpool and City of Derry, on May 24.
One-way fares are from £49.99 and £44.99, respectively, including checked baggage (loganair.co.uk).
SPANISH CONNECTIONS
EUROWINGS, a low-cost carrier that is part of the Lufthansa Group, will enter the British market when it starts twice-weekly flights to Mallorca from Birmingham and Manchester at the end of May (eurowings.com).
EASYJET SELLS SUMMER 2022
EASYJET has now put flights on sale up until September 30, 2022. Fares are from £24.49 one way with holidays available to more than 100 European destinations.
