BRITISH MOVIE Six Minutes To Midnight, 6pm, Sky Premiere

THIS thriller, set on the eve of World War II, stars Judi Dench (pictured with Carla Juri) as the headmistress of a finishing school in England attended by the daughters of the German elite. Politics, intrigue and a search for truth collide. With Eddie Izzard and James D’Arcy.

SAVING NATURE Planet Defenders, 6.35pm, CBBC

THE next David Attenborough could be among the six wildlife film-makers in this new series. The first is Ashwika, who has always had a great affinity for animals, and once even befriended a pigeon. Here, she films the hoolock gibbon, and tells us all about this endangered species.

U.S. HOSPITAL Chicago Med, 8pm, Sky Witness

LONDON GANG The Irregulars, Netflix

SHERLOCK HOLMES’S band of waifs and strays are given their own series in Netflix’s dark, bloody and increasingly supernatural adventure set on the streets of Victorian London. GREATEST HITS Elton John At The BBC, 9pm, BBC4

FEW people put on a show like Elton John, and this collection of performances and interviews from across the BBC archives makes for good viewing. Among the songs included are I’m Still Standing, Can You Feel The Love Tonight and I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues.

HAUNTED HOUSE Hausen, 9pm, Sky Atlantic

DEEPLY creepy and at times flat-out horrific new German drama from Sky. It follows widower Jaschek and his 16-year-old son, Juri, as they move into a decrepit housing complex, where Jaschek is the caretaker — and soon learn that an evil presence lurks within its walls.

CABIN CREW The Flight Attendant, 9pm, Sky One

FLASHBACKS normally kill the tension in thrillers, but the clever way they’re weaved into this U.S. show just brings you further into the story. In part two, Cassie faces questions from the FBI, spills the beans to her tough lawyer friend (an excellent Zosia Mamet), and continues drinking heavily.

COMEDY DRAMA Made In Italy, Amazon Prime

THERE are some nice comic touches to this father-son tale starring Liam Neeson and his real son Micheal Richardson. The pair head to Italy to renovate an old family home, and slowly heal emotional wounds in the process.
