Brutal murder tape exposes evil Saudis

PHONE call with one of Turkey’s new Deputy FMs [foreign ministers]. It was partly to probe into the strange disappearance in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi pundit who has become a critic of [Crown Prince] Mohammed bin Salman (pictured right).

Wednesday, October 10

THE Saudi issue is massive. [Khashoggi] was murdered and sliced up. It’s a game-changer. I think we should take an international lead by saying we love KSA [the kingdom of Saudi Arabia] but have growing doubts about MbS. Aim for the man, not the country. We should... but we can’t afford to . . . so we won’t.

Wednesday, October 17

OH MY God. There are audio recordings of Khashoggi being tortured, killed and then chopped up.

Saturday, October 20

THE Saudis have now admitted that Khashoggi died inside the consulate after a fight that went sadly wrong. Oh yeah. So there was one of him and 15 of them; and there’s no body; and they just happened to have a saw and a cleaver in their pocket at the time.

Wednesday, October 24

FCO ministerial team meeting. We discussed what we should do about Saudi and MbS. We will of course do nothing.

Khashoggi’s son is pictured in front of King Salman and MbS, supposedly to receive their condolences, which is all very well (up to a point) until you look more closely and see that the policeman in the background is staring intently at Khashoggi junior and has his hand firmly around the handle of a revolver which is half out of its holster.
