WITH a mad frizz of black and white hair, she certainly looked the part.

But Katie McGlynn failed to impress Strictly viewers as Cruella de Vil in her 101 Dalmations routine and she became the latest celebrity to leave the BBC1 show last night.

The former Coronation Street actress, pictured, found herself in the dance-off for a second week running after scoring just 24 points in movie week.

And despite the judges agreeing that the 28-year-old’s performance was ‘good’ and an improvement on the previous week, they chose to save Loose Women’s Judi Love instead.

Her exit comes following rumours that she and her partner Gorka Marquez, 31, did not get on. Judge Craig Revel Horwood said her American amooth needed ‘finesse and refinement’ and ‘more grace particularly when in hold’. Miss McGlynn faced comedian Miss Love, 41, and her partner Graziano Di Prima, 27, in the dance-off. The pair performed a Charleston to the song When You’re Good To Mama from the film Chicago.

Following the result, Miss McGlynn, who now stars in Hollyoaks, said: ‘I have absolutely loved my time, I am so happy I got to be Cruella, and dance with this amazing guy, I have loved every second of it.

‘Thank you for being an amazing partner, we have laughed so much, and I get to walk away with an amazing friend. Thanks so much for teaching me in your funny ways, we have had so much fun.’

Marquez – who donned a dotty Dalmation outfit for the routine – said he had ‘loved’ performing with Miss McGlynn, adding: ‘I will never forget this experience, it’s been incredible’. Last week, the soap star responded to rumours over ‘tension’ between them. She said on Instagram: ‘Anyone who knows us knows we get on. We’ve got the same sense of humour, we literally just laugh all day.’ At the other end of the leaderboard, former Bake Off winner John Whaite, 32, scored a near perfect 39.

He and his partner Johannes Radebe, 34, wowed the judges with their Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired paso doble.
