Mother’s tribute to her ‘princess’ after car tragedy

- By Joe Hutchison

A MOTHER has paid tribute to her ‘beautiful darling’ NHS worker daughter who died after being struck by a car.

Noor Court, 26, was walking on the pavement when she was hit by a car which had been involved in a twovehicle collision and left the road.

Neither driver was injured in the accident and police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the incident, which happened last Wednesday on Eglinton Street in Glasgow’s south side.

In a message on social media, Miss Court’s mother Lia described the children’s ward worker as a ‘princess’.

Writing on Facebook, she said: ‘On Wednesday we lost our beautiful darling Noor in a tragic traffic accident. We are totally broken and still in shock.

‘Our Noor was a princess (named after a much beloved queen) and the light of our family.

‘Such a special, happy and positive girl, who constantly spreads joy and love wherever she was.

‘Her life was just beginning and was on route to perfection, with a great love story with a wonderful partner, a job she loved and enjoyed, so many fields of interest and grand plans for a bright future by all means. ‘We are so proud of her and everything she has achieved.’

Miss Court’s sister Noga said: ‘I just loved her so much and it hurts a lot. She was absolutely perfect in every single way. Our pride and joy. Our golden girl.

‘She was always up to being silly and making jokes. Incredibly funny. Also so very sweet, kind and loving.

‘It was the perfect combination of funny and kind that made everyone adore her.’

She added: ‘Goodbye my darling girl. You will always be with me. So proud to have been your sister.’

Miss Court’s partner Will Little also paid tribute. He

‘Anyone who knows Noor understands family and friends were everything. Nothing else mattered.

‘I just wish I could switch places with her. Sleep tight, my everything.’

Sergeant Kenny Malaney of the Greater Glasgow Road Policing Unit said: ‘Our condolences are with the family of the lady who has died.

‘Inquiries into the crash are continuing.
