Are interviewers fair to Tory politicians?
ANDREW MARR is a prime example of BBC bias. When the guest is antiGovernment, they are allowed a diatribe uninterrupted and can change the subject at will. When it’s Boris Johnson, he is not allowed to complete a sentence.
FRANCIS PERCIVAL, Witham, Essex.
SUSANNA REID’S long-winded attack about Universal Credit in her interview with Chancellor Rishi Sunak on Good Morning Britain was indefensible. She should stop trying to be Piers Morgan.
Mrs THORKILDSEN, Cornhill-on-Tweed, Northumberland.
I AM no fan of Bojo, but he should be treated with respect. The BBC’s Nick Robinson telling him to ‘stop talking’ on the Today programme was a disgrace.
J. WRIGHT, Northampton. I HAD never thought of complaining to Ofcom until I heard Alastair Campbell’s anti-Government rant on Good Morning Britain. Shame on you, ITV.
ANDREW REVILL, Winchester, Hants.
IN BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg’s interview with Boris Johnson at the Tory conference, she could have been confrontational without obvious aggression. She is not funny or clever.
WILLIAM SMITH, Carlisle.
THE Prime Minister is a public servant who should be challenged and held to account in an interview. Nick Robinson was excellent at doing so.
DUSHY CHETTY, Royston, Herts. WHAT a difference between Nick Robinson’s interview with Labour’s Angela Rayner and his interview with Boris. He was fawning over the former and downright rude to the latter.
Mrs ANN WILKES, Dudley, W. Mids.
NICK ROBINSON became exasperated by the Prime Minister’s failure to address the questions he asked. So did I — and probably most listeners. GRAHAM WILLIAMSON,
Birkenhead, Merseyside.
