MAKE WINTER magical

Escape to beautiful Norway this winter with the world’s leading expedition cruise company for an adventure you’ll never forget

-

HOPING to make this winter a magical one? Escape north on a Nordic cruise with Hurtigruten Expeditions and you’ll be guaranteed the snow-dusted wonderland of your dreams – and much more besides.

Here are just some of the experiences you can expect by setting sail with Hurtigruten Expeditions this winter…

EXPERT EXPEDITIONS

For more than 125 years, Hurtigruten Expeditions have been traversing some of the most remote waters on Earth, from Greenland’s chilly coastline and the rugged Northwest Passage right down to Antarctica, home to adorable penguins.

For those in search of magic winter experiences, however, look no further than the Northern Lights and Fjords Expedition, a 15-day adventure departing from Dover and winding north along the western coast of Norway. Along the route, you’ll visit snow-covered villages nestled in the mountains, encounter reindeer and huskies on expert-guided excursions, and bathe in the glow of the Northern Lights at the edge of the world.

Rest assured you’ll be travelling with expert explorers, too. Aboard every ship you’ll be joined by an Expedition Team who know these remote lands like the back of their hands. Join them throughout your journey to explore these new worlds, and even help them as they conduct vital research to help protect these natural environments.

SUSTAINABLE CRUISING

Hurtigruten Expeditions don’t just offer experiences to remember – they also offer peace of mind for the ethically minded traveller.

They are the first major travel company in the world to have removed all single-use plastics from their fleets and hotels, and also have two of the first hybrid-electric cruise ships – MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen.

In short, their cruises raise and set new standards for the entire travel industry – reassuring to know as you venture through the world’s iciest climates and see the wildlife that dwells there. For the non-hybrid ships, such as MS Maud, biofuel is used, which is environmentally certified, made from waste produce from other industries. What’s more, thanks to the on-board Expedition Team, all guests will gain an in-depth understanding of the environments they travel through, and learn how their actions now and in the future can affect them. In doing this, Hurtigruten Expeditions hopes to preserve these worlds so we can enjoy them for many years to come.

SAFE SAILING

While the environments you sail through are extreme, on board your Hurtigruten Expedition ship you’ll have modern comforts at your fingertips.

All ships are small and cater for a maximum of approximately 500 guests, so you’ll never feel crowded during your adventure. All passengers must also be Covid clear before boarding, and there are strict health and safety measures on board.

This means you can enjoy the breakfast, lunch and dinner included in your holiday and make the most of the fantastic on-board facilities, such as gym and sauna, knowing that you are safe and secure.
