HOW THEY RATED

- By CALUM CROWE

SCOTLAND

DARCY GRAHAM Made a great break in the first half but was on the receiving end of some

7 big hits in new role at full-back.

KYLE STEYN

First Scotland player to score four tries in a game since Gavin Hastings back in 1995. A day to remember.

SIONE TUIPULOTU Glasgow Warriors man was impressive on his debut. Played a key role

8 in the creation of several tries.

SAM JOHNSON

Tried to link the play in midfield but never quite sparked in the same

7 way as some of those around him.

RUFUS McLEAN Two tries, the second of which was the pick of the bunch for Scotland. Deserves to keep his place.

BLAIR KINGHORN

Bit of a mixed bag. Threw some lovely, looping passes but also missed a few simple ones. Kicking was poor.

ALI PRICE

Fairly quiet day for the Lions star, who was never really put under any

7 sort of pressure by the Tongans.

PIERRE SCHOEMAN Another debutant to mark his first cap with a try. Got through a power

7.5 of work. Could keep his place.

GEORGE TURNER

Continued the trend of Scotland hookers scoring tries when he

7 dived over in the second half.

ZANDER FAGERSON Still building his way up to full match fitness. Not yet at the same level

7 we saw from him last season.

JAMIE HODGSON

Can be proud of a solid contribution on his debut. Injury crisis in second

7 row means he could stick around.

ROB HARLEY

The old warhorse got in amongst the Tongans and disrupted their

7 game. Sin-binned in second half.

JAMIE RITCHIE

Took a few big hits but always came back for more. Lovely back-ofthe-hand offload in second half.

MATT FAGERSON

Game passed him by at times given how wide Scotland were going with

7 ball in hand. Will have better days.

HAMISH WATSON

Made a couple of trademark steals at the breakdown. Good hit-out

7 ahead of Australia next week.
