A COLLEGE student found dead after a three-day missing-person appeal was the victim of a stranger abduction, it was feared last night.

Bobbi-Anne McLeod, 18, was last seen at a bus stop on the way to meet her boyfriend in Plymouth on Saturday evening.

Some of the teenager’s possessions, including her AirPods headphones, were found at the bus stop. Her phone was found by a member of the public.

Two men, aged 24 and 26, have been arrensted on suspicion of murder.

Neither is believed to have known Miss McLeod, pictured.

It is understood police are probing whether there was a sexual element to the murder. Miss McLeod’s body was found in woodland in Bovisand, south Devon, about a 25-minute drive from where she went missing, on Tuesday afternoon.

Formal identification is yet to take place but her family have been kept informed of developments.

The teenager’s family and friends paid tribute to her last night.

Her brother Lee said: ‘To have you as my little sister, the adventure and journey we had been on will always be treasured.’

Amanda Isaacs, 34, a family friend, added: ‘She was such a lovely little girl and what happened to her has affected the whole of Plymouth.

‘She was only 18 and had her whole life ahead of her. What else can I say apart from “RIP beautiful girl”. It is every parent’s worst nightmare. It is so difficult to take it all in. The whole neighbourhood will never be the same again.’

Local resident Stuart Fullard said he saw Miss McLeod as he passed the bus stop on Saturday.

It is believed Miss McLeod was due to take a bus across Plymouth to see her boyfriend Louie Leach, 17.

Mr Fullard, 54, said: ‘I was driving past the bus stop about Saturday tea time and I saw a young girl sat there, beside two older people either side of her.

‘I wouldn’t have thought anything of it but I thought she was dressed very distinctively in cut jeans and fishnet tights.’

A police spokesman said inquiries were continuing ‘at pace’.
