IN hit Sunday night drama Poldark her character Demelza was married to Cornish hunk Ross, played by Aidan Turner.
Now it seems that actress Eleanor Tomlinson could be preparing to swap one muscly spouse for another.
The 29-year-old has sparked engagement rumours after she was pictured with a diamond on her ring finger as she went grocery shopping in South-West London.
Miss Tomlinson has been dating rugby player Will Owen, 26, since early last year, with the couple confirming their romance on Instagram on Valentine’s Day.
The British actress was wearing the ring when she popped to Sainsbury’s recently, dressed casually in a white top, blue denim jeans and black trainers.
She was pictured holding a bag of shopping in one hand and a leopard print mask in the other as she was greeted outside by her mother, Judith Hibbert.
Miss Tomlinson has also been spotted wearing the ring alongside Owen at a friend’s wedding.
On that occasion, the actress looked glamorous in a plunging black jumpsuit as she posed for pictures with a suited Owen, who plays centre back for Coventry Rugby, with a glass in hand.
Miss Tomlinson, who is currently starring in BBC comedy drama The Outlaws, confirmed their relationship on Instagram last February, posting a black and white picture of them together.
During the Covid lockdown the couple lived with the sportsman’s family in Coventry. The actress told the Overrated podcast at the time: ‘We’re just having a real laugh. Just sitting out in the garden doing a lot of drinking.’ Miss Tomlinson previously dated her Poldark co-star Harry Richardson, who played Drake Carne, one of Demelza’s brothers. The pair split in 2018.
Her current series The Outlaws follows offenders carrying out community service in Bristol. Miss Tomlinson stars alongside Hollywood great Christopher Walken, 78, and the series creator Stephen Merchant, 47.
