‘Are you dating him... if you are, you’re finished’

MESSAGES allegedly sent to Kate Greville by Giggs were read out in court, including:

‘ARE YOU F***ING DATING ROB IF YOU ARE, YOU ARE FINISHED. END OF.’

‘Call me or I will ask on the group if you are dating. Now.’ ‘Now. Hurry the f*** up. I’m serious.’ ‘I’m sorry to keep hassling you, doesn’t my erratic behaviour tell you how much I love you. I won’t hassle you again. Have a good night and sorry about before. X’

Giggs asked Miss Greville on WhatsApp if she was going to a nightclub with ‘hot’ work clients. When she did not respond, Giggs replied: ‘Oi! Rude.’ He then blocked her. The next day, he messaged her: ‘Sorry.’ When she asked why Giggs had blocked her, he answered: ‘I messaged you and seen you online and you didn’t reply.’

Jurors heard emails dating from early 2019, exchanged between Miss Greville’s old work laptop and Giggs’s Gmail account after she blocked him on WhatsApp:

RG: ‘WTF!!! Blocking me.’ ‘F ****** unblock me now.’ (Giggs then wrote that if Miss Greville did not unblock him, he would ‘chase her’ on the work WhatsApp group).

RG: ‘Now. Hurry the f*** up.’

RG (later): ‘Don’t make me go to the group and use the, “I’m your boss remember” thing.’

The court heard Giggs sent Miss Greville an email to her personal account on June 29, 2020, when she suggested someone else could give her a lift to Scotland after Giggs offered to take her, only to complain that it would be a nine-hour drive.

RG: ‘I’m so glad you’ve shown your true colours. A horrible, horrible **** , same as [ex-wife] Stacey, exactly the same. You don’t deserve to be a parent.’ ‘I hope your company fails too.’ ‘We’ll tell people what a horrible **** you really are. You’ve hurt me like no one else has.’ ‘That’s closure, don’t ever contact me again.’
