The oak frame design process generally begins with assessing or locating a plot of land; Oakwrights Scotland will help you all the way, ensuring you avoid the common pitfalls of developing on land and helping you with the planning permission process. Advice is available on a range of issues, from conservation areas, wildlife protection and public access, through to listed building consent, if you are adding to an existing property.
Oakwrights’ experienced architectural design team then step in, with your chosen designer consulting closely with you to visualise and achieve the dream home or garden building you have always wanted. Oakwrights designers can cover the whole range of building styles from traditional to contemporary oak framed houses, with each project having its own stamp and unique features – truly a bespoke service.
Once the frame is drafted, Oakwrights will show you a three-dimensional ‘fly-through’ visual to give you a realistic feel for the design. Any adjustments can be made at this stage, prior to final drawings being produced. Once approved, these drawings can be converted into machine files for the cutting of timbers.
