Discover Oakwrights Scotland, where the finest oak frame design skills combine with a team of high skilled tradesmen to create a one stop shop for oak home development. Led by Iain Hendry from Oakwrights regional base in Ayrshire, the company’s key strength is in taking your oak frame build idea or concept and fulfilling the entire process to completion in a seamless and cohesive manner. This ‘full-build’ capability forms the nucleus of what Oakwrights Scotland calls ‘Build the Wright Way’ and is the best way to control your project throughout its development. Iain and his expert team of partner builders will ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards, ensuring complete and total customer satisfaction.

Iain has over 20 years of experience with Green Oak Framing and can help and advise, whether you require the most straight forward frame supplied to your site or indeed the most complex of modern day builds fully managed and delivered.

All turn-key builds come with a fully insurance-backed 10 years Build Zone warranty with independent surveyors monitoring the build process, giving complete peace of mind.

The oak frame design process generally begins with assessing or locating a plot of land; Oakwrights Scotland will help you all the way, ensuring you avoid the common pitfalls of developing on land and helping you with the planning permission process. Advice is available on a range of issues, from conservation areas, wildlife protection and public access, through to listed building consent, if you are adding to an existing property.

Oakwrights’ experienced architectural design team then step in, with your chosen designer consulting closely with you to visualise and achieve the dream home or garden building you have always wanted. Oakwrights designers can cover the whole range of building styles from traditional to contemporary oak framed houses, with each project having its own stamp and unique features – truly a bespoke service.

Once the frame is drafted, Oakwrights will show you a three-dimensional ‘fly-through’ visual to give you a realistic feel for the design. Any adjustments can be made at this stage, prior to final drawings being produced. Once approved, these drawings can be converted into machine files for the cutting of timbers.

Once the frame is completed, there are several encapsulation options for finishing off the house and thus insulating it and protecting you from the elements. These panel systems offer amazing thermal efficiency, flexibility and performance to make your oak framed home not only beautiful, but ready for modern day living.
