A look back at the third annual Scottish Rural Awards, culminating in a sold-out awards ceremony and gala dinner at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh
Scottish Field is delighted to partner the 2017 Scottish Rural Awards along with the Scottish Countryside Alliance, in association with the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS). A celebration of the innovation, dedication and enterprise of those living and working in rural Scotland, the third annual awards ceremony and gala dinner was held at Dynamic Earth on Thursday 16 March, bringing together over 400 representatives from some of Scotland’s most outstanding rural businesses. More than 200 businesses were put forward following the official launch of nominations at the Scottish Parliament in September, with finalists in each of the open categories announced in December 2016. The outstanding quality – not to mention the record number – of nominees made the process of selecting this year’s winners all the more challenging. A heartfelt thank you is due to the panel of five judges, who have been so freely giving of their time and knowledge throughout the awards process. The category sponsors too are a vital part of the fabric of the Scottish Rural Awards, and we thank them for their continued support. Last, but most certainly not least, congratulations to all this year’s nominees, finalists and winners, who have displayed such incredible entrepreneurial talent. Until next year!
